Three years after the revocation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the region has witnessed a significant drop in law and order incidents. According to police data, from August 5, 2016, to August 4, 2019, the region recorded 3,686 law and order incidents. However, in the three years since the revocation, only 438 such incidents were recorded, marking a drop of over 88%.

Moreover, there were no civilian casualties in law and order situations since the revocation, in contrast to 124 civilian deaths in the preceding three years. Similarly, six police and security forces personnel lost their lives in such situations from August 5, 2016, to August 4, 2019, but there was no such case since then.

Terror incidents also saw a significant decrease, with 930 incidents recorded in the three years before August 5, 2019, dropping to 617 in the next three years. The number of security forces personnel killed in terror incidents in the Valley also dropped from 290 to 174.

The data shows that the abrogation of Article 370 has had a positive impact on the region's law and order situation. The move has not only resulted in a decrease in civilian and security forces casualties but has also reduced the number of incidents of violence and terrorism.

The government's efforts to bring development and prosperity to the region have also borne fruit, with several new projects being initiated, including the construction of highways, bridges, and tunnels, which has boosted connectivity in the region. This has created new opportunities for employment and economic growth, and locals are now able to enjoy better infrastructure and amenities.

However, despite the positive developments, some critics have raised concerns over the continuing restrictions on internet access and the detention of political leaders in the region. The government has defended these measures, stating that they are necessary to maintain peace and stability in the region.

In conclusion, the revocation of Article 370 has brought about positive changes in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in a significant drop in law and order incidents and a boost in development activities. While there are some concerns that need to be addressed, the overall impact of the move has been beneficial for the region and its people.
