Hindu Students Facing Racial Discrimination in UK: Muslim Fundamentalists Targeting Them

Studying abroad has been a dream for many Indians seeking a better education and career opportunities. However, the reality for Hindu students studying in various educational institutions in the UK is far from what they imagined. They are facing racial discrimination, especially from Muslim students who are targeting them with derogatory comments and pressuring them to convert. Let's take a closer look at this issue and understand why it's a cause for concern.

Hindu Students Called Kafir and Infidels:

According to the Henry Jackson Society, Muslim students studying in the same class or school as Hindu students make derogatory comments about Hinduism, terming its religious beliefs as imaginary, and Islam as more practical. The society has also reported that Hindu students are being called Kafir (unbeliever) and infidels. Muslim students threaten them with the consequences of experiencing hell if they don't convert.

Hindu Students Victimized by Hate and Racist Remarks:

The situation is alarming as nearly 50% of parents living in the UK have admitted that their children have been subjected to hate and racial slurs at school for being Hindu. In the internal survey report of about 1% of schools, it was admitted that there have been anti-Hindu incidents on their campus in the last five years, in which Hindu students were the victims. This racial discrimination is not only affecting Hindu students but is also a threat to social harmony in the UK.

Pakistani Youths Exploiting Non-Muslims:

This is not the first time that minority communities in the UK have been targeted. A large number of non-Muslim girls have been sexually assaulted by youths of Pakistani origin in recent years, causing serious concern among British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Home Minister Suella Braverman. The government is investigating these cases and taking measures to prevent them.

Insults Happening in School Premises:

The Henry Jackson Society's survey included more than a thousand schools and parents of 988 Hindu students. It was found that all kinds of derogatory remarks were being made against Hindus on school premises, including insults for being vegetarian and their beliefs. Hindu students were being told that they could live a long and comfortable life by adopting Islam. These incidents are a cause for concern and must be addressed immediately.

Anti-Hindu Incidents:

Anti-Hindu incidents have also taken place outside school premises. In Leicester, a few months ago, Muslim fundamentalists threw beef at a Hindu girl student walking on the road. There have also been other incidents of scuffles with Hindus due to religious discrimination. The situation is becoming more and more alarming with each passing day, and we must take immediate action to prevent it.

In Conclusion:

The racial discrimination and harassment faced by Hindu students in the UK are unacceptable and must be addressed immediately. It's essential to understand that the UK is a diverse country with people from different religions, cultures, and backgrounds. We must respect each other's beliefs and traditions and work towards a peaceful and harmonious society. The government, educational institutions, and society must take steps to create an inclusive and safe environment for all students.
