The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has commenced the registration process for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Exam 2023 on April 19, 2023. Aspiring candidates can apply for 1261 vacancies of Medical Officers in various government organizations through the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. The last date to submit the application form is May 9, 2023.
The CMS exam is a national-level recruitment drive that aims to fill up the positions of Medical Officers in different departments. The General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Service, Railways, New Delhi Municipal Council, and Municipal Corporation of Delhi have vacancies of 584, 300, 1, and 376, respectively.
Candidates applying for these positions must have passed the final MBBS examination, including written and practical parts. Moreover, they should not be older than 32 years as of August 1, 2023.
The exam is scheduled for July 16, 2023. The correction window for application forms is from May 10 to May 16, 2023. Candidates must apply for the exam before the last date to avoid any inconvenience.
The application fee for UPSC CMS 2023 is ₹200/-, which is mandatory for all candidates except for female, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates, who are exempted from paying the fee. The payment can be made through any SBI branch by cash, net banking, or credit/debit card.
