US and Indian Special Forces join hands for wargames amidst ongoing military standoff with China

As tensions continue to simmer between India and China, the Special Forces of both nations are engaging in joint war games. The exercises, which are being held at Special Forces training centers near India's capital city of New Delhi, have a primary focus on supporting fighter aircraft operations in forward areas. This includes designating targets in frontline areas via laser so that precision-guided bombs can be deployed with greater accuracy.

As part of the joint exercises, troops from both countries will be joining forces with their respective fighter and transport aircraft at Kalaikunda, codenamed "Ex CopeIndia." While the US Air Force is slated to bring in F-15 Strike Eagle fighter jets, there may be some changes to the drill's schedule, which was originally set to begin on April 10th.

The Indian Air Force has been actively engaged in multiple war games in recent months as it seeks to strengthen its military image globally. This has included exercises with global powers such as the UK and the UAE. The IAF is also set to participate in the multilateral exercise Orion in France, and in another war game in Greece.

With the IAF being one of the country's strongest arms, along with ground troops, it has played a critical role in the ongoing conflict with China. The IAF has deployed in forward areas near the border on multiple occasions, with Indian Special Forces troops also being deployed in mountainous peaks to support fighter aircraft and combat helicopter operations in the Eastern Ladakh sector.

Overall, the joint war games between the US and India serve as a reminder of the ongoing tensions between India and China, with both nations seeking to bolster their military capabilities in response to the standoff.
