Four Nations Come Together for Regional Ties: Highlights from Ajit Doval's Meeting with US, Saudi, and UAE

 On Sunday, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval of India, his US counterpart Jake Sullivan, Saudi Arabia Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and United Arab Emirates counterpart Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a meeting to discuss ways to strengthen ties between their respective countries. The meeting was held in Saudi Arabia, and it was agreed that the countries would maintain regular consultations.


According to a statement by the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance growth and stability in the region. The American delegation was represented by US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Michael Ratney, US National Security Council Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Brett McGurk, Special Presidential Coordinator at the Department of State Amos Hochstein, and Senior National Security Advisor Ariana Berengaut.


Sullivan also held bilateral meetings with Crown Prince Sheikh Tahnoon of the UAE and NSA Ajit Doval to discuss bilateral and regional matters. He reviewed significant progress in talks to consolidate the now 15-month long truce in Yemen and welcomed ongoing UN-led efforts to end the war. Sullivan also thanked Crown Prince for the support provided by Saudi Arabia to US citizens during the evacuation from Sudan.


The White House released a statement saying that Sullivan's meeting with the three countries was aimed at advancing their shared vision of a more secure and prosperous Middle East region interconnected with India and the world. Sullivan is also expected to consult further with Doval on the margins of the Quad Summit in Australia later this month.
