Two Brothers Are Join Hands in High-Tech Collaboration: India and Israel Achieved A New Milestone

India and Israel have taken a significant step forward in their collaboration in high technology areas, such as Artificial Intelligence, Quantum and semiconductors, synthetic biology, etc., by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Industrial Research and Development Cooperation. The MoU was signed between the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) of India and the Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D), under the Ministry of Defense of Israel. This agreement will allow cooperation in industrial R&D programs in mutually agreeable industrial technology fields, including sectors such as healthcare, aerospace & electronics instrumentation, civil, infrastructure & engineering, chemicals and petrochemicals, sustainable energy, ecology, environment, earth & ocean sciences and water, mining, minerals, metals & materials, agriculture, nutrition & biotechnology.


The Head of DDR&D, Daniel Gold, acknowledged the ongoing cooperation efforts of CSIR and expressed his willingness to collaborate not only with R&D organizations but also with start-ups, companies, venture capitals on both sides. He also highlighted that AI and photonics are strengths of Israel and welcomed cooperation with CSIR in High Technology sectors.


The signing of this MoU comes at a very important time for India's Science and Technology sphere as the country is holding G20 presidency and celebrating the International year of millets, as well as India and Israel completing 30 years of successful diplomatic relations. Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh called it a significant year for India in the field of Science and Technology.


The MoU will enable India and Israel to implement specific projects in mutually agreed-upon industrial technology fields. This collaboration will not only facilitate the exchange of technical know-how and expertise but also lead to significant advancements in high technology areas. The cooperation between the two nations will help both countries leverage each other's strengths and boost their economies, and lead to many other beneficial outcomes.


This MoU is a significant development for both India and Israel and will further strengthen their already cordial diplomatic ties. The collaboration between the two nations in high technology areas will help them become leaders in these fields and contribute to global technological advancements.
